Soooo. . . . you know the old saying about a dog biting a man not being news, but a man biting a dog — that’s news? Yes? Well. I have some news:
Elliot bit the cat.
That’s right. He was sitting on her, as one does (if one is a not-quite-two-year-old), and then he was sort of hugging/tackling her. Then he moved his head in briefly before looking up at us with a grin full of cat hair.
Pig, meanwhile, had sort of yowled and moved away quickly. She is now curled up in a higher place, muttering feline curses under her breath and refusing to make eye contact with any of us.

Elliot is so brave. I’m afraid of your cat – to the point I won’t go near her – and Elliot sits on her AND bites her? Nice.

Yes, he is brave. Or maybe ‘foolhardy’ (to say it all old-timey) or ‘misguided’ or possibly just plain NOT SMART — our Pig can be a fearsome beast.

I have always been afraid of cats….especially when I try to pet pig (as one would with an animal) and I am hissed at immediately. You have one brave boy on your hands!

***BREAKING NEWS UPDATE***
(And no, I am not making this up):
Elliot tried to bite the cat again today, then looked at me, grinned, and said, “NOM, NOM, KITTY. NOM.”
He is so not going to make it to his next birthday, even though it’s only about a week away.
