Cast of Characters (in descending order by age): Matt (Daddy) - husband and father; sees himself as the voice of reason in a house full of crazy people (while the crazies sometimes see him as a wet blanket thrown on their elaborate plans - “You mean we need money for that? Why? Let’s just do it anyway.”) Loves any kind of athletic competition and any kind of beer. Hates cleaning the fish tank, but it’s his job and that is not likely to change any time soon.
Laura (Mama) - recently left a part-time job to be a full-time mom (and to start a website); received a copy of the book Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons as a “retirement present” on her last day of work; wants to know when all the bon bon eating takes place. Wishes someone would bring her some bon bons and watch her kids while she makes this website look cooler, or at least learns remembers how to upload photos properly.
Pig, age 6 - the cat. Does her best to live up to her name, but after 3 years of diet cat chow she is down to a healthy 10 pounds and is constantly foraging for scraps under the highchair, or anywhere Siena has been eating.
Siena, age 4 - Loves: music, scissors, princesses, dolphins, her own ideas, and her little brother, usually referred to as Little B. Hates: sleeping in her bed, other people’s ideas (particularly regarding household policies on eating and sleeping), and getting shots at the doctor.
Elliot, age 15 months - Loves people who smile at him, and food. Would like a few more teeth to come in so he can eat steak. Is ready to stand up and chase after his big sister, but has not yet figured out how to tell his legs to make this happen. Is running. And falling over a lot. And getting into absolutely everything.
Norah Jones Fish, age unknown, but newer to the household than Elliot - replaced Bob Marley Fish, the first betta to be named by Siena after someone “from the iPod.” [Deceased, 7.3.08.]
Bob Dylan Fish, age unknown, but gender clearly determined (by Siena) to be female. Often referred to (again, by Siena) as “Girl Bob Dylan” or “Bob Dylan the Girl.”
